Free Access to Computer & the Internet
Persons wishing to access either the computers, internet or other electronic resources at the public library may sign in to the workstations as directed by authorized library staff. Users will be treated on a “first come first served basis as this is done to regulate this process and ensure a fair use system of recording names of users. The fair use system is also recorded for statistical and reporting purposes to improve service delivery. Library users are initially granted computer use for thirty (30) minutes and time may be extended by the library staff depending on demand. Requests for extended use to conduct research or other special projects must be done through a booking process. The Jamaica Library Service Computer/Internet Guidelines is displayed prominently in the computer service area for the benefit of users and staff. Users must comply with any instructions or regulations displayed for use of the computer facility.
