Donations by Diane Young-Rodney

Diane Young-Rodney donated 17 copies of her title  “Russell The Kid Nobody Wants to be Around” to the Jamaica Library Service. Seven (7) copies of the book were presented to the JLS on Friday June 10, 2022. These were received by Miss Maureen Thompson, Director General.  An additional 10 copies were presented to Mrs. Marvetta Stewart Richards, Regional Director, Region 4 on June 15, 2022.

She is a former Jamaican Journalist with Television Jamaica (former JBC Television) and Freelance Producer/Editor with CVM Television.  She also served as Public Education Manager and Access to Information spokesperson in the Office of the Prime Minister. Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media and Communication from UWI, Mona and a MSc in Organizational Communication Management and Public Relations from Central Connecticut State University. She has worked with Hartford Public Schools in Connecticut for more than 7 years and is now a Freelance Communication Specialist, an Author and Independent Publisher of children’s books. Diane also serves as Connecticut’s Co-Chair of the Jamaica Diaspora Northeast Think Tank. The former Dunoon Technical High School headgirl is passionate about sharing ideas, resources and solutions that will enrich, inform and educate families in Jamaica and the diaspora on how to live a prosperous and fulfilling life.
