Director, Corporate Communications & Marketing (MCG/IE 5) Headquarters
The Director, Corporate Communications & Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic communications, public relations, integrated marketing plans and programmes and corporate affairs strategies in support of the repositioning of the brand value of the Jamaica Library Service in the local and global spaces. The incumbent will lead all communications, marketing and external relations activities, including media relations, employee communications, sponsorship, events and community engagements.

Deputy Director, Human Resource Management (GMG/SEG 1) Headquarters
Under the direct supervision of the Director, Human Resource Management and Administration the Deputy Director, Human Resource Management assist in planning and directing the HR portfolio of the Jamaica Library Service so as to ensure effective administration of the Human Resource polices and procedures and maintain a harmonious industrial relations climate. Responsibilities include:
(a) Manage Performance Appraisal System
(b) Recruitment and Placement
(c) Retirement Benefit Processing
(d) Employee Records Management
(e) Administration of employee welfare and benefits
(f) Policy Development and Strategic Planning
Senior Librarian (PIDG/LB 4) Hanover Parish Library Network
Under the general direction of the Regional Director, the Senior Librarian manages the operations of the parish library network (i.e. the main and branch libraries). The incumbent is responsible to plan, develop and implement programmes and services for the parish library network, manages the human and financial resources; ensures the upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and vehicles for the parish network.
Administrative Officer (GMG/AM 3) St. James Parish Library Network
Under the direction of the Senior Librarian, the Administrative Officer coordinates all matters pertaining to human resource and administration at the parish level. The incumbent also ensures the proper maintenance and upkeep of the physical facilities at the Parish and Branch Libraries.
Administrative Officer (GMG/AM 2), Pensions: Human Resource Management & Administration Division, Headquarters
Under the direction of the Deputy Director, Human Resource Management the incumbent coordinates all matters pertaining to the pensions portfolio. The Administrative Officer also maintains personnel record for pension, gratuity and other payments and provides general support for other administration of activities other matters pertaining to employee benefits.
Administrative Officer (GMG/AM 2), Procurement Human Resource Management & Administration Division, Headquarters
Under the direction of the Director, Public Procurement the incumbent provides administrative support for all procurement activities and ensures the smooth operations administration of the unit.
Executive Secretary (OPS/SS 4) – Headquarters
The Executive Secretary provides secretarial and administrative support to the office of the Director General to ensure the smooth operation of the Executive Office.
Accounting Technician II (FMG/AT 2) Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Library Network
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Librarian, the Accounting Technician II manages the accounting operations of the Parish Library Network to ensure the smooth operation of the Accounts Department.
Registrar (PIDG/RIM 3) Registry – Human Resource Management and Administration Division, Headquarters
Under the direction of the Deputy Director, Human Resource Management, the incumbent is responsible to coordinate the maintenance of the Registry and provide administrative services for leave, mail and records management.
